The Telit LE920 introduces a new generation of Telit automotive grade modules. It combines two high-speed cellular modes: LTE delivering 100Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink data rates and full fallback compatibility with HSPA+ delivering up to 42Mbs downlink and 5.76Mbps uplink rates. The LE920 is also fully backwards compatible with existing EDGE and GSM/GPRS networks through integrated quad-band radios which ensure the module can connect even in remote areas devoid of 4G or 3G coverage.

Developed and manufactured according to ISO TS16949 processes, the LE920 is designed for use in the most demanding automotive applications. It is offered in an LGA packaging conceived for increased robustness and as a cost effective mounting solution.

Two regional variants of the LE920 are available, one for the European, Asia-Pacific, and Latin American markets and one for the North American market. Both variants include multiband configurations, covering different sets of 4G and 3G bands.

The LTE LE920 along with its 3.5G companion the HE920 comprise an automotive LGA family. Telit's xE920 Unified Form Factor products boast common form factor and interfaces which allow developers to implement a "design once, use anywhere" strategy.

The LE920 can be optionally equipped with an embedded GPS/GLONASS receiver and Antenna Diversity circuitry. Its extensive interface set, which includes USB, SPI, I2C and user definable GPIOs, provides for ease of integration of peripherals and actuators. Additional features, such as integrated TCP/IP and UDP stacks, and DAC&ADC channels provide extended functionality, adding value to the final application without adding costs. Moreover the LE920 is fully compliant with eCall EU Directive.

The LE920 boasts a range of functions for over-the-air maintenance and management of firmware and application software on the module as a part of Telit's commitment to protect the customer investment in developing and deploying Telit based solutions.
