Telit Cinterion EU Data Act Notice
Telit Cinterion is committed to providing you with clarity regarding the data generated and processed in conjunction with our products and services.
This document outlines the common categories of data which may be produced and processed when using Telit Cinterion products and services. It also explains how these relate to your rights and our responsibilities under the EU Data Act.
Telit Cinterion will typically act as a ‘data holder’ and ‘related service provider’ for data generated by connected devices that is processed through its platforms (“Product Data“).
Where Telit Cinterion sells IoT devices, it may be considered a ‘product manufacturer’ in relation to the hardware.
Below you can find details on Telit Cinterion’s connected Product Data collection and processing practices, as applicable to the different roles under the EU Data Act
Telit Cinterion as a data holder:
| How can the collected data be accessed directly | The Customer may access Product Data collected through the relevant online platform. Dependent on the subscription type and services, the Product Data may be accessible by API or directly on the platform by download. |

| Storage location and retention | The Product Data is stored in a location of the customer’s choice – on customer’s cloud or on servers owned or controlled by Telit Cinterion. Depending on the service, Product Data may be also stored temporarily on the device. Retention duration of Product Data depends on the type of Product Data and use-case. We will keep and process Product Data (including anonymized data) only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected in connection with the products and services, unless we have a legal right or obligation to retain the data for a longer period, or the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or the enforcement of agreements.
