Design Review Service

The design review service can benefit all customers designing-in Telit products. During a design review, technical support and R&D engineers work together to provide a comprehensive list of findings on the application, designed to assist the customer circumvent problem situations, implement a simpler, more cost effective design, or simply validate what is there. The objective of the design review is to expedite transit into and through the implementation phase. This service ensures optimal stability and performance for the customer application reducing costs and overall time-to-market.

  • Component selection advice - for BOM reduction
  • Measurement and characterization of integrated antenna

Pre-certification Testing Services

Pre compliance

We perform pre-certification testing at the application level in our Trieste facility. This service assists customers with the certification process required by their local regulators and/or network operators. It is designed to provide a complete overview of the application's radio performance and to speed up the certification process by exposing potential issues, giving customers the opportunity to fix problems before incurring the fees and schedule commitments typically associated with the formal process.

In our RF-anechoic chambers and laboratories, we can perform the following tests:

Radiated spurious:

  • Radiated spurious emissions ALLOCATE CHANNEL
  • Radiated spurious emissions IDLE MODE

Conducted spurious:

  • Conducted spurious emissions ALLOCATE CHANNEL
  • Conducted spurious emissions IDLE MODE

Antenna performance (OTA):

  • Total radiated power
  • Total isotropic sensitivity
  • Intermediate channels sensitivity

EMC test:

  • Radiated emission
  • Conducted emission (DC power port)

Product Certification

Telit can partially or completely manage product certifications for our customers worldwide. Using our global experience and local contacts, we can assist customers with CE, FCC, CI, PTCRB, GCF, ANATEL and AT&T certifications.

Validation test for the manufacturing process

We offer a physical validation laboratory to assist customers with the pre-manufacturing process. We perform tests to verify solder joint reliability between BGA modules and the application PCB. Additionally, a complete analysis of results achieved in the reflow process can be conducted to assist customers fine-tuning the manufacturing process specifically for their devices.

X-rays can also be taken in the lab as part of the reflow process results verification. We offer the following tests:

  • X-Ray analysis

  • Solder paste analysis
  • Guest board planarity analysis
