Telit´s CDMA m2m cellular module earns Certification on SPRINT’S Wireless Network
Certification of CC864-DUAL Offers Telit M2M Customers Nationwide Coverage on Sprint’s Now Network
"Sprint has been an early leader in their support of M2M applications and is a valuable partner for the growth of Telit’s CDMA product line in North America," said Michael Ueland, Vice President and General Manager of Telit Wireless Solutions, Inc. "We are excited about working with Sprint to further expand the development of innovative M2M applications."
The CC864-DUAL has the same form factor, function and AT command interface as its GSM/GPRS and UMTS/HSDPA counterparts, the GC864 and UC864 respectively, empowering integrators and OEMs to seamlessly swap modules without costly redesigns when utilizing multiple cellular networks. This enables M2M application developers to design an application only once and take advantage of global coverage and the flexibility afforded by having a single design that supports GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSDPA and CDMA-1xRTT, the most prevalent cellular technologies worldwide.
With its ultra-compact design, and extended operating temperature range of -30° C to 80°C, the Telit CC864-DUAL is the perfect platform for medium-to-high-volume M2M applications and mobile data and computing devices. In addition to other value-added features, the CC864-DUAL incorporates gpsOne® capability for applications in mobile environments such as telematics, personal and asset tracking, as well as over-the-air maintenance and management of software in the module to protect customer investments.
Sprint has been an M2M industry leader for more than six years, with highly valued partnerships and with more than 300 different non-Sprint-branded devices operating on the Sprint network (CDMA and iDEN) and through its widely respected Open Device Initiative certification process.
