Penta-band HE910 Module Allows Connected Device Makers to Minimize Development Time with Certified Hardware
Raleigh, NC – April 18, 2012 – Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules and services, announced that its HE910 embedded cellular module, the smallest penta-band HSPA+ module on the market today, has received PTCRB certification.
Featuring an ultra low profile with a 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.2mm land grid array (LGA) package, the HE910 is a globally compatible 3G module ideal for compact consumer electronic devices and mobile M2M applications, such as the recently announced AirLoom tracking device from WH Electronics, Inc.
"By providing Telit customers with certified modules, we are following our core value of reducing cost and time to market for M2M device development," said Mike Ueland, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Telit Wireless Solutions North America. "Integrators will now be able to painlessly integrate high-speed connectivity with the HE910 and fast-track their M2M deployments on a global scale."
Telit’s HE910 module is part of the xE910 family with all regional and network variants featuring the same form factor, allowing integrators to deploy M2M applications on a global scale and employ a range of network technologies. In 3G mode, the HE910 supports all five existing frequency bands: 850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz and offers ubiquitous 2G coverage with quad band GPRS and EDGE class 33, facilitating worldwide application deployments.
