Telit Cinterion to Demonstrate Integrated Cellular and GNSS High-Accuracy Positioning at The Things Conference 2026

  • CMB100 board downloads GNSS correction data over a cellular connection and injects it into the SE868K5-D L1+L5 GNSS receiver
  • NTRIP-delivered low-cost corrections allow consistent submeter positioning, averaging approximately 50 centimeters
  • Live demonstration runs Sept. 22-23 at Booth M6 in Amsterdam

Boca Raton, Fla., September 22, 2026 — Telit Cinterion, an end-to-end Internet of Things (IoT) solutions enabler, today announced it will exhibit at The Things Conference 2026, Sept. 22-23, at De Kromhouthal in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. At Booth M6, the company will demonstrate an integrated cellular and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) high-accuracy positioning solution for connected IoT applications.

The demonstration runs on Telit Cinterion cellular and GNSS hardware. A NExT™ SIM card provides network access.

The system uses the Telit Cinterion CMB100 development kit equipped with a CMB100 LTE Cat 1 bis module. Through AT commands issued in the kit’s onboard ST microcontroller environment, the module establishes a network connection and downloads Skylark Nx RTK MSM5 GNSS correction data from Swift Navigation via NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol).

The correction data is then injected into a MIKROE GNSS 19 Click board equipped with a Telit Cinterion SE868K5-RTK GNSS receiver. During testing, the receiver achieved outstanding positioning precision within 1-2 centimeters on average.

The same approach, using the SE868K5-D module variant and the Skylark DX MSM1 DGNSS correction data via NTRIP, achieved an average positioning precision of better than 50 centimeters.

A unified graphical interface allows users to issue commands to the microcontroller, which coordinates cellular connectivity and GNSS functions. A dedicated GNSS monitoring interface displays receiver data in real time for debugging and analysis, giving developers visibility into the complete positioning workflow.

Potential applications for connected high-accuracy positioning include:

  • Smart infrastructure
  • Micromobility
  • Logistics and asset tracking
  • Construction and heavy equipment
  • Robotics and autonomous systems
  • Industrial monitoring and automation

“High-precision positioning traditionally requires developers to integrate and manage several separate technologies, services and interfaces,” said Eric Lagorce, global head of GNSS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® technology solutions at Telit Cinterion. “Our demonstration at The Things Conference shows how Telit Cinterion brings cellular connectivity, GNSS and IoT services together in a cohesive ecosystem. This approach can simplify development and help customers bring precise location applications to market faster.”

Attendees can visit Telit Cinterion at Booth M6 to see the high-accuracy positioning demonstration and discuss their IoT connectivity and location requirements.
