Telit delivers M2M innovation in consumer electronics at CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2009

Several Telit customers will be on hand at Telit’s booth #349 to offer show attendees an exclusive preview of new M2M applications that are on the brink of making a significant impact on the retail, healthcare, consumer electronics, enterprise, auto insurance and law enforcement industries:

  • EmFinders will showcase its EmSeeQ device, a small, watch-like wireless emergency locating system that employs Telit’s GE864-QUAD module. The application is designed to help persons with medical impairments like Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome or Autism, who are at risk of becoming disoriented and lost. When a caregiver triggers an emergency signal, the device provides critical location information for the safe recovery of a missing person.
  • Isabella Products, Inc. will feature its Vizit two-way, touch-screen digital frame and photo sharing device. Leveraging Telit’s GE864-QUAD module, the Vizit enables consumers to share images instantly and securely via mobile networks. Photos can be sent from cell phones, the Internet, PCs, or even between Vizit frames, and users can share, reply to, or order prints directly from the frame with a simple touch.
  • Xirgo Technologies will unveil its new IntelliBox, a technology platform that allows Xirgo to rapidly develop customized telematics devices to communicate vital information from vehicles and heavy equipment with an embedded Telit’s GE864-QUAD GSM/GPRS module and optional GPS receiver. The rugged IntelliBox features a variety of customizable options providing a flexible design-to-manufacture model that reduces time-to-market for M2M and telematics products.
  • OutdoorLink, Inc. will offer an exclusive look at its SmartLink application, a wireless technology that leverages Telit’s GE864-QUAD module to enable the outdoor advertising industry to remotely monitor and track power outages. SmartLink eliminates costly time changes and inefficient power costs in real time by providing remote communication and control solutions.
  • Solidica, Inc. will unveil the Chorus ThorTM, a new low-cost, compact, embedded diagnostics, telematics and sensor control device designed for harsh industrial environments. The Chorus Thor features a plug-and-play integration and ground-breaking real-time remote data collection via Telit’s GE864-QUAD module.
  • Copiloto Satelital will feature its Copiloto Online II, a compact telematics unit with an integrated Telit GE863-GPS module that is ideal for wireless tracking, security and navigation of vehicles. The Copiloto Online II sends daily reports of vehicle diagnostics and supports voice operation in hands-free mode.
  • USA Technologies, a leading supplier of networked devices and wireless non-cash transactions, will showcase its ePort® EDGE, an application that installs easily into existing cash-only point-of-sale machines, enabling them to accept credit, debit and new contactless cards. Payment information is transmitted wirelessly via Telit’s GC864-QUAD module.
  • Mobile Devices will unveil the C4 Black Box, a powerful vehicle tracking and tracing system that employs Telit’s GE864-QUAD. The C4 Black Box is fully programmable and combines both GSM/GPRS and GPS technologies together with a 3D accelerometer to monitor driving habits including direction, speed, braking and mileage in real time. The C4 runs an open platform that comes with an SDK allowing a very fast integration of any Telematics application. This tracking device can also be connected to a navigation display making the integration of any graphical interface a very easy development.
  • iControl Networks will demo its interactive iHub ‘Home Security 2.0’ home security and automation solution, which utilizes Telit’s GE864-QUAD module for secure, cellular backup. Telit’s unmatched Jamming Detection & Reporting feature alerts the consumer and remote central monitoring station when the cellular signal is threatened by a jamming device or network disturbance.
  • Danlaw will feature its DL250 DataLogger, a car and light truck tracking device that plugs into a vehicle’s OBD-II port and features high-sensitivity GPS for position tracking and geo-fencing. The rugged and compact DataLogger application utilizes the quad-band GPRS/GSM capabilities of Telit’s GE864-QUAD.
  • Laipac Technology will offer a look at its S-911 Bracelet Locator. Ideal for tracking children, the wrist wearable security device relies on Telit’s GE864-QUAD module for GPS and cellular capabilities. Parents can not only track their children from anywhere in the world via the internet, but they can also use the S-911 Bracelet Locator’s two-way cellular feature to speak directly to the bracelet wearer.
  • Trackn/Enfotrace, a leading provider of remote vehicle and asset tracking products, is leveraging Telit’s GE864-QUAD cellular technology in its next-generation Stealth-2 GPS tracking unit. This plug-and-play device enables users to accurately locate and remotely control their vehicles from anywhere in the world. The accompanying Internet-based service can receive safety alerts, locate a vehicle, lock the doors and disable the starter from a PC or iPhone.
  • BlueRadios, Inc., will offer a first-hand look at the BlueGateway, a Cellular Gateway and Data Concentrator that utilizes Telit’s GE863-PRO3 module.
