Integrated M2M solution as the goal
Under the terms of the partnership, the GE863-SIM module from Telit will be available with Telenor Connexion’s patented eSIM, an integrated chip SIM-card. The GE863-SIM is a module tailored to specific customer needs that is produced on demand. A remarkable characteristic of the module is that the eSIM reduces the space needed up to 90 per cent compared with the traditional SIM-card and holder, thereby making a considerable contribution to the system’s robustness.
Customers also benefit from improved SIM reliability, significant cost savings and a markedly increased level of efficiency in the development and production of their M2M solutions.
The long-term goal of the partnership between Telit and Telenor Connexion is the development of a completely integrated solution with wireless M2M hardware and on-board connectivity.
