OnGo Alliance is a U.S. trade association. It was formed in 2016 by international industry leaders who wanted to pull together companies interested in bringing LTE to the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) band, such as:

Since the organization’s formation, it has expanded its scope to include 5G NR and any frequency band allocated for spectrum sharing.

OnGo Alliance Mission

The organization’s mission is to bring innovation and diverse use of shared spectrum bands, focusing on the U.S. CBRS bandwidth in 4G LTE and 5G technology by:

  • Establishing an effective product certification program for LTE and 5G equipment, ensuring multivendor interoperability and coexistence while sharing spectrum
  • Evangelizing OnGo’s LTE- and 5G-based technology business models, use cases and opportunities with emphasis on 3GPP specifications
  • Maintaining close relationships with regulatory bodies to proactively mitigate any issues that may arise when branding, marketing and promoting OnGo Alliance
  • Driving technology developments, including multi-operator 3GPP capabilities
