The LE910-SKG can now be deployed by Korea’s leading wireless communications operator
Seoul, Korea – October 27, 2014 – Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules, services and solutions, today announced successful completion of inter-operability testing (IOT) with SK Telecom Co. Ltd, the country’s leading wireless communications operator, for its LE910-SKG LTE module. Passing IOT testing denotes a confidence level by the operator that the reliability and quality of the module meets the high requirements for activation and use on its mobile networks. Telit has already received SK Telecom IOT approval for the UC864-K, CC864-K and HE 910 series.
The LE910-SKG is a member of Telit’s flagship xE910 module family and it is the first product that delivers 4G radio access technology in the 28.2 x 28.2 x 2.2 mm family form factor. The Telit xE910 Unified Form Factor Family comprises 2G, 3G, and 4G, 3GPP and 3GPP2 products. Having a common form factor, as well as the same electrical and programing interfaces, allows developers to implement a "design once, use anywhere" strategy.
The M2M module IOT program with SK Telecom is the final step required by the operator for modules to be integrated into customer devices that are deployed on its networks. IOT programs are adopted by most mobile operators to address the increasing complexity of protocols in the interaction between M2M devices and mobile networks. In addition, it ensures that module vendors can provide adequate technical support for customer application development based on the tested modules.
