New device facilitates the deployment of tablets, notebook computers, e-readers and other devices on the AT&T LTE network.
RALEIGH, NC – January 13, 2015 – Telit Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) modules and value-added services, today announced that its LN930 LTE data card, based on the new PCIe M.2 standard, has received approval to operate on AT&T’s LTE network. The performance of always-connected consumer and industrial devices on this high-speed 4G network is enhanced by the maximum LTE Category 3 throughput of Telit’s ultra slim data cards, which is 100 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up.
Intel has validated Telit’s data cards for use in Intel based PC (e.g. Ultrabook and 2-in-1) and Tablet platforms.
LN930, based on Intel’s XMMTM7160 chipset, is a single data card supporting international frequencies for LTE and HSPA+ bands, including LTE FDD, UMTS/DC HSPA+, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
“As one of the leading cellular networks in the U.S., AT&T certification is an important milestone for our customers,” said Mike Ueland, President of Telit Americas. “We are now equipped to support personal computing-type devices as never before.”
In addition to the high data throughput from LTE Cat3 and multi-band frequency support for global coverage, the LN930 provides integrated GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), low power consumption, and support for multiple Windows OS releases (7, 8 and 8.1).
