I set up my XE70-868 module with RTS/CTS handshaking. I have done this by setting the AT command ATS216=0 and got the reply OK. So far so good.
Than I receive telegrams from the other wireless module and I can see on TXD line that the module sends out the incoming telegrams to my processor but I can not see with my scope that the RTS signal is also set during TXD. I need that signal because it is the write_enable signal for the RS485 transceiver.
1. I am right with ATS216=0?
2. Is it stored persistent?
3. Any other ideas why RST does not work?
Thanks for your helps.
regards
Markus

Hi,
RTS
is managed by module only (in case of buffer full), so in your case
could be useful consider TX LED or status TX/RX pin (refer to protocol
user guide for details)
Thanks for your reply.
Why do you think my buffer is full? I only send very short telegrams (5 Bytes) every 250ms.
The module transfers the incomming telegrams to the serial interface. I can see that with my scope. But I don’t understand why I don’t get the RTS signal set during UART TXD activity. The signal TX LED is not useful because I need the RTS mechanism for the UART and not for the radio communication.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your reply.
Why do you think my buffer is full? We send only very short telegrams (5Bytes) every 250ms. This should be no problem. I also can see that the telegrams are transfered to the UART TXD with my scope. But during this TXD activity is RTS never set.
We enabled the CTS/RTS mechanism but it seems not to work.
Any ideas?
Thansk for your further help.
Best regards
Markus
Hi,
no,
I did not mean that your buffer is full, I suggested you to use
different pin (as I indicated you in last mail) in order to check transmission status
I want to learn that two ME50-169 modules can communicate in the field without insight position.
