  1. Hello,

    we are developing an application based on your LE50 and it’s important for us to use the Cyclic Wake Up feature.

    It is now configured and seems to work nicely:

    The coordinator is not in low power mode and sends frames with a preamble long enough to cover the sleeping time of the client.

    RF frames arrive correctly to the client that wakes up, sends the frame to the serial link, waits for the time out and goes back to sleep.

    sleep = 2 seconds

    rx duration = 10 milliseconds 

    timeout = 10 seconds 

     

    The problem is that the client often wakes up without any frame is sent by anyone, with a randomic time near 1 minute. It wakes up and never turns back to sleep (not even waiting for the time out)

    Once awake without any reason, the client could stay awake forever, but if a RF frame is received, it accepts it, sends it to the serial link and goes immediately to sleep, without waiting for the timeout.

    Am I doing something wrong?

        1. Hi,
          since you do not use Flow control, please check data sent, maybe buffer is full and if you do not send any data,
          maybe module is wake up by a data sent previously.
          So, try to implement a time-out between communication (without flow control).

          Let me know.

          1. Hi Cosmin,

            I’s sending small packages using a terminal; they are very short strings such as "1=wake" and I’m sending just one of them, waiting several seconds before sending out a new one.

            Moreover, the module goes out of sleep even when there are no other modules active or powered up. It is the only one to be powered:

            I turn it on, it goes to sleep in 1 or 2 seconds, (no other module is present, no one is communicating), after about 1 minute it wake up and stays awake forever.

            May it be I’ve got an old firmware (1.02)?. Where could I find new firmwares?

          2. Hi,

            I can confirm, that both this malfunctions were observed in old fw version.

            But problems are solved in the newer fw for LE50. Unfortunately, I have only "Customized" fw version, so please contact official Telit representation to obtain the "Standard" FW.

    Description of the problem:

    The problem  after Reset/Restart of the modules in functioning mode. The message after the restart is the same.

    After the Reset/Restart of the module, sends the receiver module an OKr (ACK), but at the other side the ACK is not sent to the RS-232 port. 

    After trying other messages to send, it takes about 45sec. this phenomena. After this 45sec. it works the communication as supposed without problems.    

    Can we shorten this 45 sec. malfunction time, and why is this behavior?  

     

     

    Procedure:

    2 modules Nr. 1 and Nr.2 in Addressed Secured Mode with ACK.

    After Restart of the module Nr. 2 are the messages with ACK acknowledged, but at the module Nr. 1 the serial port don’t send out this ACK message.

    After ca. 45 Sec. sends the module this message out over the serial port..

     

    Message x:

     

    Modul 2 Send:                  1=Hello numb 1 its me numb 2

    Modul 1 Receive:            2=Hello numb 1 its me numb 2

    Modul 2 Recieve:            OKr

     

    Message x + 1:

     

    Modul 1 Send:                  2=Hello numb 2 its me numb 1

    Switch off and after aprox. 5 sec switch on (restart) Modul 2

     

    Message 1:

    Modul 1 Receive:            (nothing on RS232)

    Modul 2 Recieve:            OKr

     

    Message 2:

     

    Modul 2 Send:                  1=Hello numb 1 its me numb 2

    Message 3:
