I’m trying to use the force-on pin on the SE868-A evalkit, however it doesn’t seem to respond. After a quick measurement I realised that the pin is always low, even though the jumper has been removed. I have not connected any pull up circuits to the pin, the only modification done to the board, is removing the resistors connected to the FT232RL. Is there any special considerations that needs to be taken when using this pin in order to make it function properly?
Best regards.
Hello Nils,
Let me add some comments about the FORCE_ON pin.
The FORCE_ON is used to wake up the module when it is in backup mode (set by the command $PMTK225,4). The default state of the FORCE_ON is low/floating. Then, a transition low/floating to high restarts the module to normal operation.
What is the FW version in your module? Can you tell me the PN of the evaluation board?
Can you write me your email address? Also, when you reply to the message, please add ts-emea@telit.com to the recipients.
Thanks and best regards,

Hello Nils,
The FW version supports the FORCE_ON functionality.
Can you list the steps you followed when you tried to use the pin?
Did the module enter backup mode after the PMTK225,4 command has been sent?
