  1. Dear Sir,

    We are using GE910-QUAD module to download data from remote server using dial up connection.

    We want to enhance speed to reduce downloading time, for that we tried to run module in different baud rate, but we are getting same speed.

    • We run module on 1200 and 921600 baud rate, but we are getting same speed.
    • We get the same speed of approx 5-6 KB/S in both the baud rates.
    • If we are calculate with for baud rate 1200 b/s then data transfer rate must not increase 0.146 KB/s ideally  but i can download at the speed of 5-6 KB/s on the same baud rates.

    1. On USB, the COM port is virual and the baud rate doesn’t have effect.
      The USB port speed is actually negotiated between the module and the host at the beginning.

    We are unable to save SIMDET status in NVM using module USB COMM port. After reboot of module, it comes at default value.

      1. Dear Sir,

        I connected GE910-QUAD module with my PC. Got two USB port that is USB1 and USB2.

        I tested AT#SIMDET=1 command on both USB port but test result remain same.

        Please advise.

        1. You must have 3 USB ports  <-> virtual com ports. See the image from “GE910 Family Ports Arrangements”.

    I am able to get 3 USB port. but issue remain same. means, how to save AT#SIMDET=1 status using USB port.

    Please help to get back immiditaly.

    1. The idea is to place the commands on the AT0 parser, which is connected to USB only with #PORTCFG=4 and 5. With #PORTCFG=1 will not work because AT0 is connected to COM1.

  4. Sir,

    I already tested AT#PORTCFG=1/4/5 command. but i am not able to save SIMDET ststus in module NVM. after every power reboot it gets default value. I am doing this test with TELIT EVK-2.

    I am able to save SIMDET status using UART communication but when same command sending by USB port, it does not save SIMDET status.

    1. It definitely works with PORTCFG=4; pay attention that USB0 is not necessarily enumerated as the first virtual port, try them all.
