Storing MSISDN into SIM

  1. Hi,

I tried to  get the length of EF_MSISDN :

    at+crsm=192,28480
    +CRSM: 144,0,62198205422100200183026F408A01058B036F0602800200208800

as written in guide section 3.3 (Telit_Modules_Software_User_Guide_r1), the 15th byte is 01 so I don’t think is the right length.

So I supposed that my length was 26 as in the example so I entered :

    AT+CRSM=220,28480,1,4,26,FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF0791XXXXXXXXXXFXFFFFFFFFFFFF
    +CRSM: 105,130

I don’t know the meaning of this answer. (X represents my international phone number)

    I check Phonenum :

    at+cnum
    +CNUM: “”,””,129

    What should I do ?

    1. Hi,

the Telit Modules Software User Guide (latest is r12) is not applicable to UC864.

You have to refer to UC864-E/G/WD/WDU Software User Guide.

The procedure is easier since you can used the "ON" phonebook.

“ON” – SIM (or MT) own numbers (MSI torage may be available through +CNUM also).

       AT+CPBS="ON"

      AT+CPBW=1,"MSISDN",<type>,<text>

      example

      at+cpbw=1,"34123456",145
      OK
      at+cpbr=1
      +CPBR: 1,"+34123456",145,""

      OK
      at+cnum
      +CNUM: "","+34123456",145

      OK

      1. Hereby, what I get :

        at+cpbs=ON
        OK

        at+cpbw=1,"1XXXXXXXXXX",145
        +CME ERROR: unknown

        at+cnum
        +CNUM: "","",129

        OK

I tried non-international format too and same result.

        at+cpbw=1,"XXXXXXXXXX",129

        +CME ERROR: unknown

        What should I do ?

          1. I tried with double quotes and I get same result.

I even tried the example, same result.

            When I start my UC864-G, I first :

            ATZ0

            OK

            AT#SELINT=2

            OK

            AT+CMEE = 2

            OK

          2. I tried with a quite old firmware version and is working as Andrea wrote.

What is your module firmware versio, AT+CGMR?

          3. Hi David,

            this is strange.

Did you try to store the MSISDN on that specific SIM using anothe phone/module and check if it is then readable with AT+CNUM   ?

We can investigate further providing a trace tool but I what to be sure that this SIM allows to store MSISDN value inside.
