  1. I’ll apreciate if someone can explain me how Telit GM862 modem works on the data link layer of the ISO/OSI model.

     

    Physical, network and transport layer are clear, but I couldn’t find any information in Telit’s manuals related to the data link layer or the sublayers MAC or LLC.

     

    Maybe someone can tell the same thing in other GPRS modem to do an equivalence between both

    1. This is rather a general GSM/GPRS theory and implementation that is common to all devices and nothing special to Telit modules. There is a lot of literature on this, for example here and here. I would say is little interest to the regular system integrator who is working on a higher level of protocols.

    I was clear with the other layers because on the "Telit_IP_Easy_User__Guide" document appear the rest but it omit the previous layers.
