DVI loopback

  1. When making voice calls via DVI on a GC864-QUAD-V2, the received audio always seems to be a mix of the remote callers’ audio and the out going audio.

For example, if I inject a music signal to the modules DVI Rx pin, I hear the same music signal on the DVI Tx pin with no network delay, mixed with the remote callers audio. I still hear the music if I mute the microphone on the remote callers handset. The DVI port is in slave mode, but the effect is the same if I set it to master mode.

The AT command reference lists modes for enabling/disabling sidetone on the handset and headset, but no command to disable it on the DVI. Is this normal for the DVI port, and is there a command to disable the loopback?

For reference, the module firmware is version 10.00.057 and the initialisation sequence is as follows:

    AT#SELINT=2

    AT+IPR=115200

    AT#REGMODE=1

    AT+CREG=0

    AT+CMEE=1

    AT+WS46=12

    AT+CALM=2

    AT#CPASMODE=1

    AT#DIALMODE=2

    AT#DVI=1,1,0

    AT#AUTOBND=2

    AT+COPS=0

    1. Hi Chris,

I believ eyou are using the default value for hte AT#SHSSD parameters which is 1 so you have the sidetone enabled.

Can you please check it? and in affirmative case toggle it to 0 to disable it.
