How do you detect if a socket has been closed from the remote end (not the modem side), without using DCD I/O line?
If the socket is closed, the modem sends NO CARRIER, but its not much help when your micro thinks its still in transparant comms mode.
Suspend the socket with +++ and use AT#SS.
Thanks for the reply but thats not what I was asking.
If the socket is disconnected, the message NO CARRIER is sent, but this just looks like data?
How do you detect the socket disconnected?
Then why not simply pass data through a filter to detect NO CARRIER?
Thanks, thats the only method I could think of and was wondering if there was any other ways.
