5 thoughts on “Is It Possible to Change the Number and Interval of the Rings When Receiving a Call?”
You can determine when RING is active using ATR, but I can’t find anything about how to change the number of rings or time between them. I also can’t find where the number of rings and timing is documented.
I don’t have our EVK with me, so I can’t just try it.
Can someone please let me know the default number of rings and time between them, as well as if its changeable?
Thanks,
Nick
Dear Nick,
there’s no default number of rings. The RING unsolicited code, is sent when an incoming call is received and stopped when the call is answered of dropped.
The RING timings should be 4 seconds. It is not configurable.
Thank you for responding Andrea. How do you drop an incoming call that you don’t wish to answer? Can you use ATH to hang up a call that you haven’t answered?

Yes Nick, use ATH to refuse a call.
Thanks Cosmin. That answers all my questions.
