We want to connect the HE910-G EVK to the host PC
through the AM335x EVM and access the Internet on host PC by the HE910-G EVK.
When we trying to connect to the Internet from Telit dial up
application we are getting the error as follows:
DSR is low while
initializing the modem. Verify modem is turned on.
CTS is low while
but CD was low, Waiting for signal to go high
20ms CD is still low.
We also tried the following:
1. The AM335x EVM(processor) running linux is connected to
host PC as a device through USB interface by changing the product ID and vendor
ID and also observed that the telit driver is loaded on host PC(Windows).
2. HE910-G EVK is connected to the AM335x EVM as a device and
and also observed that cdc-acm driver is loaded.
3. An application running on AM335x EVM, which will pass
through the data from the host PC to HE910-G EVK and HE910-G EVK to host PC.
4. For better understanding please go through the attached logs.
Please advise, How can we make the modem appears directly to PC though AM335x EVM in between,
Please post in the appropriate section!
We need to communicate between two PC’s using Telit’s 3G
Module. As per our requirement it is necessary to encrypt the Data and send it
over the 3G interface. Hence a processor/controller is introduced in between
which encrypts and sends the data.
For Development we have been able to communicate between
two PCs with two 3G Modules, as shown in toTelit_done.Pic
What we require is as shown in toTelit_required.pic. I
hope this will clear the doubts. Please let me know if there is any issue.

if I’ve well understood when the HE910-G EVKs are connected directly with the HOST PC, you are able to set up a dial up connection via PPP and exchange data between PC1 and PC2 (Telit_done.Pic).
The issue happens when you put the AM335X in between for data encryption so it seems not a module issue. If previous configuration works, it means that handshaking lines of the module USB port are set correctly.
From the log, the module is responding to AT commands, but the handshaking lines (DSR, CTS, DCD) are not correctly emulated by the AM335X which is connected to the HOST PC.
Have you already checked with AM335x developers?
