I occasionally see the status 3 (denied) and once saw status 4 (unknown).
Neither CEER nor CEERNET reported anything.
Is there another command I can use to determine why the registration failed?
I also have an issue with it taking a long time to register, is there any command/notification I can turn on to see what is happening/progress?

Satus 3 means you are attemptuing to register to a network not allowed to, for example an operator you have no roaming rules; or an operator that has been listed in the forbidden list in SIM
