Turning off Echo permanently? (i.e. ATE0 but permanently)

  1. By default, the terminal will echo back the AT command and then send the reply.

We can turn off the echo by using ATE0.

However, every time the modem is power cycled the default echo returns.

Is there a command that we can use to tell the modem never to echo back even if power is cycled?

    1. ATE settings are stored in the profile base section so simply do a save with AT&W after setting ATE to desired value.
