I am using the HE910 on theEVK2 board. I am using the USB to serial drivers and have the USB cable connected from my PC to the EVK2 PCB. I have been sending AT commands successfully through Hyperterminal for weeks with no issue. A couple days ago, I attempted a copy and paste to host and inadvertantly did a Select All of my entire Hyperterminal session. This caused the serial port to freeze.
Now, when I connect the USB cable, the com ports appear ok, but when I type into Hyperterminal, my typing is no longer echoed back to the screen and the program locks up after I type the first few characters of my AT command.
I tried using the DB9 RS232 connector and get the same result. I also tried using RSTerm and it locks up too.
Can anyone please suggest a method for me to get my COM ports communicating again?
I supposed the serial interface got weird settings, maybe inadvertent hardware flow control? I suggest to perform a firmware upgrade to freshen the module.
Can you direct me to the download location for the HE910/EVK2 firmware and instructions on how to do the upgrade?
How do I get new firmware, tools and documentation files from Telit?
