  1. Hi,

in our battery driven application we are planning to use a xE910 module with integrated GPS receiver.

Powering down the GPS receiver seems to be possible through AT command interface (AT$GPSP=0).  I’m wondering, if it is also possible to turn off the GSM part while retaining GPS functionality?

Application is to query GPS more often that doing data transfer via GSM/GPRS.

    Thanks

      1. The option would be AT+CFUN=4 although not much decrease in power consumption.

Thanks for the reply.  That means, that AT+CFUN=5 does not work?  To be honest, it is not completely clear to me, how AT+CFUN=5 impacts module operation.
