Almost all modules in xE910 famaly have USB on board. As I can understand from docs mainly this USB act as VCP port.
Is it possible in anyway to exchange digital voice data throw USB?
No there isn’t such possibility, only via dedicated Digital Voice Interface.
Is this is political limitation or technical, or neither one nor the other and such functionality just never requested?
Because it will be really great if without any additional MCU Telit module could be connected to PC throw one USB and developer get not only AT channels but also one digital audio channel. At last for our current project :).
