Hi,
during tests to qualify the GE864-QUAD-V2 as replacement for the GE864-QUAD I observed several times a CME Error 13 which causes a disconnect of my GPRS connection. Only a reset of the modem helped to reconnect to the GPRS network to
continue the IP traffic.
The question is: What causes this error? And is there any way to come out of this error situation without resetting the modem?

Hi Thorten, could not be a mechanical or electrical problem? Do you have an EVK to test your code? Did you check with more than one SIM type/vendor?
Hi Cosmin,
I am testing always parallel with our own hardware/firmware and a Telit EVK2 equipped withGE864-QUAD-V2 working as a modem connected to a windows PC. The SIM failure occured on both platforms, so I dont think it is a mechanical or electrical problem nor software.
We are testing with only one type of SIM cards from a major network provider.
So, what can be a cause of the failure?
You have the latest firmware I guess? 10.00.024.
yes, i am testing with the latest firmware version 10.00.024.
with the previous 10.00.x3 version I had massive problems with gprs communication.
Only a reset of the modem helped to reconnect to the GPRS network to
continue the IP traffic.

We might have seen this problem as well, but I’m sort of stumbling in the dark as we just loose connection and no errors are logged at the operator or as a crash in our software.
Are you able to detect this as an error by issuing some AT-command? Is it possible to software reset the module and get a restart? We are just running Python scripts on the module and do not have an external reset line to use.
We have just seen this at one or two network connection places, not on other modules or places.
