Telit White Paper: Background and insights into m2mAIR, Telit's value-added services program
The m2m industry is at an interesting evolutionary
point nowadays. On the one hand it is still very much a "Do It
Yourself" industry in need of stable and common application development
standards, protocols, middleware and development tools. When designing and
building an m2m application / solution one is required not only put all the pieces
together and deal with the complexities of building a working scalable client
server application, but also to deal with complex logistic issues like global
connectivity procurement, scalable subscription lifecycle management, and
efficient troubleshooting deployment issues as well as various other
difficulties that apply to most m2m applications.
Read in m2mAIR's White Paper how to solve this challenges. m2mAIR is Telit's new business unit focusing on value-added services, including connectivity.

Telit White Paper: GPS + GLONASS using the best of both worlds
At the end of 2011 the Russian government announced that GLONASS, the Russian Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), is fully opera-tional and has global coverage. Experts at Telit decided to test what impact this has on satellite navigation and positioning. They conducted tests in Los Angeles, London and Johannesburg to see the relevance of GLONASS for the whole world. The results clearly showed that the combination of GPS and GLONASS improves positioning tremendously. Especially in urban canyons with huge skyscrapers the receiver had the ability to track at least four satellites and thus calculate a fix - which was impossible to guaranty using only GPS.
