Position Overview

Telit develops solutions for the future of the IoT at 10 development centers worldwide. The R&D competence center in Hamburg is the main development site for short-range wireless technologies. Responsibilities:

  • Design and carry out software, firmware and hardware tests for wireless communication solutions
  • Coordinate test requirements with the project management and create the test specifications
  • Program and maintain test scripts and programs for test automation
  • Evaluate and assess test results and create test reports
  • Design and implement continuous integration for our product development

Qualifications:

  • You have a degree in technical computer science, electrical engineering with a specialization in computer science or comparable qualifications
  • You have several years of professional experience as a test engineer or test manager
  • Experience with Bluetooth technology a plus
  • You have experience with common software tools for carrying out and documenting release tests (e.g. Jenkins, Silk Central, Git, clearcase etc.)
  • Experience with LabVIEW and NI TestStand a big plus
  • Programming experience in at least one programming language (C, C++, C#)
  • Ability to work in an international team and intercultural expertise

Position Overview

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to develop new products using GainSpan Wi-Fi modules and SoCs.  You will provide design consultation, schematic reviews as well as technical support to customers around the world. 
  • Develop evaluation boards and reference designs using GainSpan Wi-Fi modules for various IoT verticals. Conduct performance benchmarks like power consumption, throughput and range measurements.

  • Experience in designing evaluation boards and development kits using MCUs, wireless modules and chips - understand the design rules, schematic capture, layout and related CAD tools such as Allegro and OrCAD.
  • In-depth knowledge in various host interfaces:  SDIO, USB, I2S, I2C, UART, DDR/flash memory, micro-controller, and sensors.
  • Hands on debugging RF wireless systems, CRA analysis, and knowledge of regulatory certifications.
  • Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and other WLAN/BT test equipment like Litepoint. •
  • Experience in embedded system design and software development using RTOS and programming languages like C, C++ .

Customer Support:

  • Provide technical/design support for customers / integrators.
  • Provide technical support to the sales staff in order to promote the company's products to customer engineers during the design win cycle.
  • Prepare and present technical material in customer meetings.

Sales Support:

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to sales team.

Inside Sales Representative - NA Services

Overview:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will be responsible for generating new leads and building a pipeline of opportunities for the Telit IoT Cloud and Connectivity Platform business. The ISR will be responsible for generating new leads in a specified territory for all Telit Services.  The focus of this position will be on lead generation and qualification. The specific responsibilities of the position will include, but not be limited to:

Lead Generation:

  • Place outbound prospecting calls and e-mails from campaign lead sources or through individual research.
  • Field inbound phone calls and e-mail based inquiries for more information.
  • Pre-qualify all leads and distribute accordingly to direct and indirect sales teams for further qualification.
  • Educate prospects on the benefits of Telit IoT Cloud and Connectivity services.
  • Effectively manage daily / monthly activities including call volume, pipeline / forecasting and quota goals.

  • Provide regular reports in a timely manner, including weekly activity report, monthly sales forecast, visit reports, market maps and other reports as required.
  • Leverage CRM system to manage all customer contact. Track and manage a qualified pipeline of leads, opportunities, and contacts using Company’s CRM tool.
  • Advise sales management on market conditions and Telit’s competitors; gather market intelligence, product requirements and distribute within the Company.
  • Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis to meet the overall objectives of the Sales Department or Company.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has worked in the IoT industry or a wireless network sales position. This is a “hunter” position and requires highly motivated and self-directed individual.  Candidate must be a go-getter who refuses to lose.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in IoT/M2M network services sales at a MNO or MVNO.
  • Must be able to show a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.

Additional requirements include:

  • Technically proficient with a successful background in long sales cycle services sales.
  • A self-starter with a will-to-win.
  • Must convey strong customer commitment, and have a proven history in excelling in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Exceptional work ethic. Uses time productively, is focused on right opportunities, maximizes efficiency, and meets challenging work goals.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Must be able to work effectively without close supervision and function as a member of a team of professionals.
  • Discretion, common sense and attention to detail are a must.
  • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve customer problems.  Owns customer issues and maintains customer communication through resolution.
  • Travel within territory 40% of the time.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

Member of Sales Department. Reports to the West Sales Lead of North American Services.  Works closely with sales engineers and other members of Sales Department.  Coordinates activities with Regional Sales Directors and other members of Sales team.
