Position Overview

Reporting to the Commodity Director, the Commodity Manager is a critical part of TELIT’s development process and is responsible for formulating, communicating, and executing the worldwide sourcing strategy relative to RF components. The Commodity Manager leads supplier sourcing / selection activities and successfully manages the supplier relationship to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective materials to support production requirements. The Commodity Manager has an important role in ensuring that its respective commodity meets the technical and price specifications necessary for TELIT to satisfy its internal and external customers.

Overview of Job Requirements

  • Work closely with Engineering to influence technical design decisions to meet technical capabilities, cost, and business objectives.
  • Align the commodity strategy to TELIT’s objectives for sustaining production, new product introduction (NPI), and R&D activities. Ensures TELIT has the right product at the right place and on-time with a secured and qualified supply base.
  • Develop a commodity technology roadmap, aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities.
  • Responsible for AVL (Approved Vendors List) for commodity, supplier selection and qualification.
  • Maintain supplier scorecard and evaluation.
  • Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology.
  • Interface with cross functional teams to assess current and future sourcing requirements.
  • Responsible for quarterly executive business reviews of strategic sourcing plan that define, among other things, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives.
  • Manage overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability development, cost and quality improvements.
  • Maintain personal knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements.
  • Periodic travel to supplier’s manufacturing sites.
  • Support annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions, favorable payment terms, etc.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in high volume competitive sourcing environment.
  • Direct experience in supplier / supply chain management.
  • Supply chain experience managing cross functional teams in automotive or consumer electronics.
  • Familiarity with world-class sourcing methods and tools.
  • Experience in cellular telecommunications / IoT markets, technical as well as market requirements  
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Highly proficient with SAP or similar ERP environment.

Overview
Telit is developing hardware/software platforms and modules for a wide range of telematics and other Machine-to-Machine (M2M) & Internet of Things (IoT) applications supporting legacy 2G, 3G, as well as new 4G/LTE – and in the future also 5G – cellular technologies. Role and responsibilities will depend on interests and experience of the successful candidates but typically will include:

  • Design, implement, debug, document, and maintain specific subsystems under guidance of the software architect and software project leader;
  • Design, implement, debug, document, and maintain dedicated test frameworks for existing as well as new functionalities;

Requirements / Assets:

Inside Sales Representative - NA Services

Overview:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) will be responsible for generating new leads and building a pipeline of opportunities for the Telit IoT Cloud and Connectivity Platform business.  Primary responsibilities include: outbound prospecting, pre-qualifying and channeling leads to our direct and indirect sales teams for further qualification and managing of small and medium enterprise (SME) accounts. The position reports to the VP of Sales, NA Services and will receive daily oversight from the ISR.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The ISR will be responsible for generating new leads in a specified territory for all Telit Services.  The focus of this position will be on lead generation and qualification. The specific responsibilities of the position will include, but not be limited to:

Lead Generation:

  • Place outbound prospecting calls and e-mails from campaign lead sources or through individual research.
  • Field inbound phone calls and e-mail based inquiries for more information.
  • Pre-qualify all leads and distribute accordingly to direct and indirect sales teams for further qualification.
  • Educate prospects on the benefits of Telit IoT Cloud and Connectivity services.
  • Effectively manage daily / monthly activities including call volume, pipeline / forecasting and quota goals.

Account Management:

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for the execution of our sales strategy in the assigned territory.  The RSD will be responsible for all direct and indirect sales of Telit embedded cellular and positioning modules in the territory.  The RSD will formulate and implement account strategies with our channel partners to maximize sales results in the territory.  General responsibilities include: leading our sales efforts in direct accounts, developing account plans and strategies for key accounts, supporting our channel partners’ sales efforts, prospecting new customers, qualifying leads and managing channel partners performance in territory.   The individual will establish and maintain key relationships with channel partners, direct and indirect customers, and other industry participants. The individual we are seeking must have relevant M2M/IoT or semiconductor “design in” experience and extensive experience in complex sales.   The position reports to the regional Vice-President of Sales and will work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Applications Engineering teams.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The RSD will be responsible for all sales opportunities in the territory.  The specific responsibilities of the position will include, but not be limited to:

Direct Sales:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets; achieve maximum sales by creating end-user demand for Telit’s products through direct and indirect sales activities.
  • Develop individual account plans and strategies for existing and new accounts that helps Telit to continue grow market share in the territory. 
  • Establish business relationships with all levels of management and functions (Engineering, Product Management, Sales) within direct accounts.
  • Lead sales effort in later stage sales efforts through targeted customer visits to key decision makers, RFP response development, and the coordination of third-party solution providers.
  • Identify and address customer objections during sales process and work with other members of the team to overcome customer objections.
  • Monitor and manage your sales pipeline to ensure opportunities are being advanced and closed.
