Welcome to our July edition of the Telit2yourInbox newsletter. This month was an exceptional one for us. We launched our new value-added services program under the brand of m2mAIR, making Telit moving up the M2M value chain.

We foresaw very early that by fusing the module and the connectivity service, the financial and functionality benefits that would accrue would be tremendous. Therefore Telit acquired GlobalConect Ltd in July 2011 and formed a new business unit focusing on leveraging Telit's strong foothold in M2M to become the leading provider of a one-stop-shop for global and managed M2M solutions. This includes on the one side our communication modules, on the other side Value Added Services (VASs) including connectivity. These services are based on three pillars: The first one are Telit‘s unique value added services initially consisting of module management, Business Support System capabilities and support. The second pillar is an industry leading Service Delivery Platform built together with Telefónica, which enables provisioning, troubleshooting, and full subscription lifecycle management. Last but not least we offer global network coverage and SIM cards in partnership with Telefónica, one of the top three mobile operators in the world. The result is a unique portfolio of managed and value-added services as we see it today with m2mAIR.

We expect that m2mAIR is becoming a major "building block" in Telit's market strategy and an important factor for our continued growth and success. These services enhance our already superior M2M offering; leverage its existing assets and enables Telit to provide customers a full M2M solution that extends well beyond the current value.

Another important step this month for Telit was the expansion of our presence in the APAC region. We opened a new office in Melbourne to serve the growing M2M markets in Australia, New Zealand and the Oceanic region.

Both steps show the path we want to follow in the next years: global presence with a unique portfolio of wireless technologies and value added services including connectivity - all from a single vendor.

M2M TECHNOLOGY GETS GARBAGE GATHERERS GOING GREEN WITH WIRELESS WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Telit's M2M modules enable the remote monitoring of solar compactors and waste receptacles operated by BigBelly Solar, a global provider of sustainable solutions for the management of waste and recycling. BigBelly Solar's toolkit enables municipalities, universities, government facilities and other institutional customers to reduce the operating costs associated with waste collection by 80 percent.
